A Curious Mind in the Making

From a young age, Freddo Kresna Tjoenedi was surrounded by a rich tapestry of business and mechanical activities. Born into a merchant family in Kediri, Indonesia, his early environment played a significant role in shaping his curiosity and hands-on skills. His family owned a wholesale grocery store and warehouse, providing him early exposure to the dynamics of commerce. Beyond this, they operated as distributors for Chinese motorcycle brands like Wuling and Lifan, along with running a motorcycle workshop.

Freddo’s inquisitiveness extended beyond academics. During his junior high and high school years, he actively helped his family in their business ventures. He gained firsthand experience in operating the store and performing mechanical work in the workshop. These experiences nurtured Freddo’s problem-solving mindset. This combination of business and technical exposure laid the foundation for his interest in exploring how systems worked, whether they were mechanical or digital.
